UNCLE DIRECTOR

Prelude to this story. 2001 all my mates where leaving my school to write their SSCE in these so-called MAGIC CENTERS.  I told my mum about it she told be to find out where they were going but I told her I was not going there that I was going to write it in my current school and that I would pass. Hmm it was as if God went to sleep when I said I had faith I would pass my exams in that school. I read like never before but when the result came out the result was as good as nothing because they seized one major paper failed to record the other paper then I had C’s and D’s. My mum was mad at me she insisted that I should repeat from SS2 in my school. Hmm God I almost lost my mind… finally my aunty convinced her to let me enroll at another school. That was where I meet ‘uncle director’

THE TELEPHONE RELATIONSHIP

Wow I cannot believe I actually dated someone on the telephone. Ok this is the story I don’t know or I can’t remember how he got my number.

 He told me he was coming to Nigeria in about two months time and he would like to see me ok oh no wahala*. Two months came and passed he was not calling me.  Only for one day he called again then said sorry that the mayor of his town died (how that one take concern me? na your papa or your business partner?)*

One hot afternoon Mr. Wole my course mate called me. He asked about my relationship status I knew once it was another hook up coming lol I guess my senses are alert to these things.

After the break up with Aremu (that’s a story for another day. Hmm it’s actually a bad girl story) I was so depressed sad and alone.

Now this is one of my bad girl stories so no judging cos if you are true to yourself you have a story like this too. Lol

One hot afternoon I was in let say 300 level then. I went for an uncle’s funeral. So here I was sitting under the canopy then came this HANDSOME guy (and I mean every letter of that handsome) he walked pass me then walked back and took a good look at me again before he left. My heart was melting already,

WHY DID WE START DATING?

Hmm uncle ‘talks but no action’ lol. Ok here’s how it all started; I was just getting over my broken engagement, I started working part time at a supermarket to keep myself busy so I don’t kill myself with deep thoughts remember, the idle mind is the devil’s workshop and he sure was making good use of my empty mind at that moment lol. I used to resume work by 2 pm and close 6 pm the supermarket was not far from my house and I did not have a car then so I would walk to and fro everyday.........
